To give our customers maximum flexibility, we do not require a fixed-term contract. In practice, this means that you have the freedom to rent storage for as little or as long as you wish. You are required to sign a rental agreement at the time you move in, which continues on a month-to-month basis until you decide to move out.
Don’t panic! If you lose the key to your storage unit, we will need to remove the lock during our office hours. You must notify the manager of the situation so that you can make the appropriate arrangements at the property. Please be aware that additional costs may be involved.
Short answer – it depends on the type of lock you choose. If you have secured your unit with a standard padlock, the padlock key can be copied anywhere that offers key-cutting services. If you’re using a cylinder lock, they have a special type of key that cannot be replicated, so in this case, you can only use the keys that came with the original lock. If you have lost your keys, please see the above question and speak to the manager about how to replace your unit lock.
Yes! You can specify anyone you’d like to authorize to access the storage unit within your lease. For everyone’s safety, please ensure that such individuals have your unit’s current access code and a key to the lock. Key Self Storage will not provide access codes or open locks for anyone.
